A construction company typically operates within a 30-kilometre radius. With such a limited scope, it's hard to make a meaningful impact on the industry and to shift mindsets toward more sustainable, responsible, and long-term building practices.

Construction Rocket has always been rooted in a small community. We know our neighbours and we look out for each other, which naturally shapes how we work. Our projects are collaborative, our reputation matters, and our business model is straightforward and fair. We run into our clients at the market, at the café, everywhere in the village.

In practice, that means stopping by a neighbour's place to talk through what they could do to improve the energy efficiency of their building envelope. Organizing a work party to fix an elderly couple's roof before winter. Leading a workshop on high-performance construction for CEGEP students. Talking through wall assemblies and low-carbon materials with a community organization working toward energy targets and a renovation of its facilities.

We've been doing all of that for years, but we wanted to go further — to make building science accessible to more people, widen our reach, and change the way people think about buildings.

We've offered consulting on the side since 2020 — between projects, when time allowed — but we finally decided to structure it properly through a new service: Rocket Science.

 

Our mission is to make the energy transition more accessible, by offering consulting, technical guidance, and training services in building science and energy efficiency, and by promoting built environments that are healthy and durable.

Concretely, that means offering plan analysis and material recommendations, blower door tests to assess a building envelope's airtightness, on-site technical support, solar gain optimization, LEED certification support, and hands-on building science workshops for homeowners, construction professionals, and community organizations alike.
