our story
William Murray, a PHIUS-certified builder, and Sarah Cobb, a carpenter and Passive House-certified consultant, have been building together for over fifteen years and founded Rocket Construction in 2012. The company name was a tongue-in-cheek reference to the entirely unaerodynamic, red plywood trailer built to haul around tools back in the day. Two PHIUS-certified houses and several LEED Platinum-certified houses later, Rocket is now a recognized leader in the field of high-performance construction.
In 2021, three new partners came on board as co-owners to cement the future of the company. Karl Dandenault, Project Manager, Jean-Mathieu Perreault, Head of Operations, and Marie Francis, Administrator and Financial Officer, have gradually been taking over the helm. Our growing team means we can help more clients build the home of their dreams.

Leave a lasting mark
This award recognizes organizations that have implemented concrete measures in sustainable construction and renovation to reduce their environmental footprint.
We work hard, we do our best, and sometimes we receive awards and a little recognition. So proud and grateful to be part of this team that is embodying innovation in sustainability and responsible environmental practices in the Quebec construction industry. Hoping this inspires others, and that the exception quickly becomes the norm.

our values
SUSTAINABILITY
Renovating dozens of unsound homes has given us an appreciation for the new tools and technology that help us ensure your home is durable and healthy to live in.
PERFORMANCE
Our unique climate is brutal on the building envelope, but new technologies and practices exist and we are committed to using them to create homes that are both beautiful and energy-efficient. It doesn't have to be complicated; a well-insulated, airtight building doesn't require complex and expensive mechanical systems.
ENVIRONMENT
The construction industry is responsible for over 39% of global carbon emissions. By reducing the size of our buildings, using local, healthy, sustainable materials that can store carbon and improving waste-sorting on our sites is our way of making a difference.
TEAM
We are fortunate to work with an incredible team of bright, intelligent, committed, and ingenious people; people who are passionate about and question what they do.
SHARING
We leverage the expertise of several trade partners that share our values to advance the cause of high-performance buildings in our neighbourhood. Since 2019, our consulting services have supported motivated self-builders across Quebec in their efforts to construct sustainably.
