A construction company typically operates within a 30km radius. It's difficult to have a large-scale impact on the construction industry, or to change mindsets towards more sustainable, responsible and long-term practices, with such a small scope of action.

Rocket Construction has always been a company that operates within a small community. Everyone knows each other, and we help each other out. This naturally leads us to work differently. All our projects are collaborative, our reputation is paramount, and our business model is fair and transparent; we'll run into each other at the market, at the café , and just about everywhere, really, really often.

In practical terms, this also means visiting the fourth neighbor's house to discuss what they could do to improve the energy efficiency of their windows or the insulation around their floor eaves. Organizing a work party to urgently repair the roof of an elderly couple's home before winter. Giving a workshop on high-performance construction to students. Discussing wall composition and low-carbon materials with a non-profit organization working in the community to achieve energy targets and renovate its facilities.

We do all that, but we wanted to do more, and go even further. Democratize access to building science, broaden the scope of action and change mindsets, so that we no longer buy a house based on the color of the kitchen cabinets.

We've been thinking about it for a long time, and even though we've been offering consulting services since 2020, between projects, when we have time, we finally decided to structure our offering and integrate a mission into it.

This is the mission:

To offer training, awareness and support services in energy efficiency and building science, in order to support the energy transition of citizens and community settings, and to promote healthy, sustainable and accessible built environments for all.
